Dr. Mini Nanda taught in the Dept. of English, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, India, where she was the Head and Member University Senate from March 2014 – 2017. She has been the Chief Editor of RUSE the Departmental Journal- Indexed in the MLA, and has been a member of the University Academic Council from 2007-2016. She was the Coordinator of University Academic Activities, Director Centre for Women’s Studies and Coordinator Board of Studies in English, for two terms from 2009-2014. Dr. Nanda has supervised twenty-five M.Phil dissertations and guided twelve Ph.D. theses in diverse areas. She has been the Coordinator of University School for the marginalised children-Bal Niketan– and Coordinator for RUSA (Rashtriya Uchch Shiksha Abhiyan) Projects in Humanities.
She coordinated, taught and designed courses for Guelph-India and Minnesota-India Programmes; on Indian Writing in English & in Translation, from 2008 to 2016. In July 2017, she Co-ordinated a Sahitya Akademi Workshop on Translation; with participants from six languages; the edited manuscript has been submitted to Sahitya Akademi in November, 2017.
She has been invited as resource person to Conferences in India- Hyderabad University, Rohtak University, Jodhpur University, Visva- Bharti University, and Forum for Contemporary Thought Conferences in Udaipur, Goa and Cuttack. She was also invited as resource person to East Brunswick- Moncton University, Canada; York University, Toronto, Tenerife Island, Spain; Comparative Literature Conference to Sorbonne University, Paris, and IJAS Conference, Prague. She was invited to deliver the Keynote Address at an inter-disciplinary Conference in Washington University in Rome, in June 2017.
Her areas of interest and publications, around forty papers; are in the field of Culture Studies, Films Studies, Women’s Writing, Indian Literature, South- Asian, Canadian, Caribbean and Latin American Literatures. She has co-edited a book Literary Constructs of the Self featuring eminent writers and scholars from India and abroad.
